Flowing river and streams alongside the trails and a series of small cascading waterfalls we’ll hike mountain coves supporting an abundance of biodiversity.
Bountiful wildlife, including newts, rat snakes, coyotes, foxes, wild turkeys, and black bears (hint: look out for claw marks on the trees!)

Hike starts at the parking area on Bracken Mtn Trail (blue). Then, take a right onto Brushy Creek trail (Red) and follow the red blazes as you walk alongside lush streams lined with a diverse array of plant and fungi species. About a mile and a half from the trailhead, you’ll reach the scenic Renzulli Falls. Take left, follow yellow markings on to Mackey Ridge trail. Continue to Bracken Mountain trail (Blue), take a left and follow the blue markings on to Bracken Mountain Trail to complete the loop and head back to the parking lot.
Directions: From downtown Brevard, head west on Main Street, – Turn right on Oaklawn Avenue, – Turn left on Probart Street for 7/10 of a mile, – Take a right on Music Camp Road, – After 3/10 of a mile Music Camp Road becomes Pinnacle Road, – Continue straight onto Pinnacle Road, which turns to gravel, – Continue 2/10 of a mile up Pinnacle which ends at the Bracken Preserve parking lot.
