A great 5 mile hike, first check that hunting is on hiatus, we wouldn’t want to run into hunters.
We will hike the trails at the Herky Huffman-Bull Creek WMA. There are over 23,000 acres in this preserve.
We will be parking on an unmarked grassy knoll off of US-192 on the extreme northeast corner of the preserve. Follow your GPS, plug IN these two numbers:
28.116917, -80.932467
Follow yellow line after parking and take the long way first.
We will start out on the Florida trail, and then break out towards the Crabgrass Creek old cemetery. Be prepared to meet ghosts and goblins on this special hike.
Our total mileage will be about 5 miles. Parts of the hike, especially over the bridges, require good balance control, but otherwise, this will be a hike of easy to moderate difficulty.
