With its rolling emerald expanse and meandering walkway through reedy wetlands and shadowed forest, and, of course, its perpetually inviting playground, you’d be forgiven for imagining the Cashiers Village Green as something out of a storybook.
We are always looking for exciting places eat, visit and to hike, this will be a day filled with each! Starting with some early lunch and quickly followed by the Trout and Salamander loop trails on the village green.
The Village Green is a 13.2-acre park located in Cashiers.
Next we will hike to Silver Run Falls, about 10 minutes away! Tumbling from Silver Run Creek, this combination of free falls and a near-vertical slide reaches a height of around 40 feet.
Finally we will do Ellicott Rock Trail
To access the Ellicott Rock Trail in Ellicott Rock Wilderness from Cashiers, take Highway 107 south for 7 miles. Make a right at Bull Pen Road and drive 2.5 miles along the paved and graveled road. Park at the Ellicott Rock Trailhead on the right hand side, trailhead is on the left. it’s a 4.2 mile out and back we can decide how much of the 8.4 miles we’d like to do.
We do have dinner plans at 5:pm sharp so we will plan accordingly
